Thirty-one years, but English adoption of Bosnian origin, Adi Granov is a visionary, one of the best artists of the comics market concept and a talented designer.
His name is inextricably linked to that of Iron Man, a popular character from Marvel Comics.

In 2004, Adi is inserted between the Young Guns of the House of Ideas, a list of authors of exception, according to the publishing house would have the credentials to become international stars. In the same year
Granov realized, the texts of the volcanic Warren Ellis, a six-issue miniseries titled Iron Man: Extremis, which took credit for inspiring the recent film by Jon Favreau and has established itself immediately as one of most successful examples of reinterpretation superomistico: with Extremis, Ellis and Granov revived the character in the new millennium will not only modernize the origins, but doing a real character of the restart. The boards of
Granov, made of cool colors and hyper, depicting some of the most memorable action scenes in the history of comics, played by Iron Man never as a credible and "solid." That same

Are Honey Teddy Grahams Ok For Babies

Interview with Elena de 'Grimani

Elena de 'Grimani (Rigel, Moon) is an artist who has been through a lot. He lived
sunrise and sunset of his most personal creation, Rigel, who was born as a game for friends and turned into a publishing success.
He heard a baby be born and grow inside her, an extraordinary experience that the world has inevitably moved away from its reference to the comic.

Now Elena is preparing to return to the stage with their his first love, Rigel - Edizioni BD out for - and will be in Mantova Comics & Games to sign tons of comics. And to forgive a long absence editorial, fortunately, seems to be over.

Before Rigel, then the Moon. Both series matches as a self-produced and then landed in the publishing mainstream circuit. What have you left those experiences?

during the processing of both Rigel-Interlunium for Panini, which Moon Star Comics, I met many people. With some was born a friendship that lasts to this day, and I am very happy.
Technically, I learned a lot: confronted with a large number of tables that must be completed within clearly defined deadlines was difficult at first, looked for people like me from total anarchy. But I think it was a crucial step.
Sometimes it was heavy, I had a rate of about thirty months to complete tables (pencils, inks, textures or color, lettering) more 'covers, and this for a long time. But all in all, while seeing the flaws that inexperience coupled with the tight deadlines made me run in my albums, I'm happy.
I was confronted with different themes, styles of different colors and sizes: some are of experiences that have enriched my
.

Rigel was initially thought to be offered friends, but at Lucca Comics was a great success. How changed your way of working since you had to do with the trade press?

Some things the first time seemed strange, since I always run around with the self: when I was working alone and printed on my own, I could actually get the printers at the last minute, and above all find a lot of shortcuts when performing if the tables were so many (and were, at least for me, because each book had 132 pages): When a person follows the industry at your work, however, any shortcuts to be agreed, and all equipment is checked thoroughly. I started to be more organized, precise, to make steps with the times especially on the inking phase (which for me is the most 'Slow Time), and above all I realized that the key thing is to respect the time, anyway.
I must say that it was not easy at first, if your first sequence, I could not put it on paper, waiting for a better day ... when working with a publisher you can not. So even if you arrive a day "no" tragedies apart ... you must be able to be productive in those 24 hours. The plates that come out will not be the best ever, or maybe those of you more 'fair, but must be technically acceptable and produced on time. On this
no rain, but I started to have the agility and hand to do this at least remains between the second and third numbers Interlunium.
At first it was a tragedy ... I threw entire album, on paper sheets. But in the end
Rigel with Panini has sold over 13,000 copies was sold out and reprinted, which is a register for a 7 euro and made by someone unknown until then had only self-made and arrived breathless at every delivery is not too bad, right?

Rigel started as a project entirely yours, but when it was published by Panini Comics you enlisted Fabrizio Palmieri. tend to prefer to keep total creative control about your characters?
Regarding Rigel yes. But by the time we were together Fabrizio and I, we were very young and involve us in this adventure seemed a natural step. He saw me autoprodurmi and also helped me in many things, from practical to creative ones, but his work was however another.
After the end of our relationship, I started to manage Rigel alone, like I did at the beginning (of the rest Rigel was born when Fabrizio and I still do not know). E 'was still great to work together, but obviously two heads can never be perfectly equal, and our ideas about certain things were to say the least conflicting. But even this was an enrichment.

Fabrizio ha preso una strada different and our lives were split both professionally and personally, I have dealt with some health problems in the family, then I met my current partner (and future husband) and I had with him a child, Liam, who is now a year and a half. The pregnancy was perfect until the fifth month, then I had some problems and I was almost three months in hospital, immobile. The following year has elapsed between inspections, visits, analysis, and most people 'has more' and so forth. The baby is fine and fortunately has not suffered from anything, but who has also discovered during those months had some problems to watch out for me, and this, together with an impending transfer of the entire family in Normandy (in the city birthplace of my companion) and the efforts of a small child, I was away from comics right now and over the past few years I would not really able to afford the rates, the concentration, the tight and deliveries of which we spoke above. But things are normalizing, and fortunately it seems that slowly they can return as before.
Although of course, now the top priority 'in my life have definitely changed.

Yours is the story of an author who has self-made and scored an unexpected success. Looking back, there is something the same way?

At first I was sorry, but then I realized that instead in the end it was good.

Talk about your new projects. It 'was announced a long-unpublished volume of Rigel for Edizioni BD, where do you work? The volume will contain only original material or reprints of old stories too? Other projects in the pipeline?
I have other projects in the pipeline but only a special feature for the moment. I have no more 'free time than before so it would be foolish to even think of doing something serial alone in this period. Rigel
The volume of BD is in the works and circumstances permitting I would like to get him out after the summer, but prendi queste parole con le pinze perchè ogni cosa al riguardo la decido insieme all'editore, del quale mi fido ciecamente, quindi non muovo un passo senza di lui riguardo questa cosa. L'ultima parola e l'unico vero annuncio ufficiale sarà lui a darlo.
A sentire alcuni amici, in peggio.... ma amen, one can not 'have everything in life.

The Best Mario Salieri

Jeph Loeb: a biography

Joseph Loeb was born January 29, 1958 in Stamford, Connecticut.
Jeph is a curious boy, so much so that in 1970, reading his first comic book, falls in love with the fascinating mix of text and images, and convinces her father to recover the entire catalog of the House of Ideas for the period 1961-1970. In 1985 Jeph

debut in the film industry as co-writer of the movie Teen Wolf, in collaboration with Matthew Weisman, followed by Commando (1985), Burglar (1987) and Teen Wolf Too (1987).
Comics, for now, it's just a reading: it was not until 1991, to witness the debut of Loeb as a comic book writer, hired by Jenette Kahn to create a register DC, Jeph writes Challengers of the Unknown vol. 2 # 1-8. The artist is Tim Sale, what will become the main contributor to Loeb over the years with the artist and the writer will reach its apex in terms of quality.

Nel settembre 2005 Loeb firma in esclusiva per Marvel Comics, e realizza dei veri e propri cult come The Ultimates 3 by Joe Madureira and Hulk teamed with Ed McGuinness.
Loeb will be one of the authors of maxievento Ultimatum and 2009 in Serbia has Captain America: White , again with Tim Sale, modern interpretation of the origins of the character - after Spider-Man: Blue, Daredevil: Yellow and Hulk: Gray. "

production Loeb comic in the field is vast.
perfect example of media that cross-fertilization that is now the prerogative of entertainment, Loeb has combined two fields with great skill fervent and explosives, as intrinsically related movies and comics.
Without fear of contradiction we can say that Jeph Loeb has, with his desire to get playing on different fronts and apparently his ability to approach them with maesria, ahead of his time.
