How Old Do You Have To Be To Buy Wraps

The interactive storytelling: the video game as a new frontier narrative is a story of ordinary heroes

Mantova Comics & Games is not only wild game. Sure, there will be more than 600 square meters dedicated to your entertainment, there will be a tour traveling Party Games with a preview of the latest presentations and demonstrations do not stop all weekend, there will be plenty of free tournaments and rich rewards.
For all gamers aware of the potential of their favorite pastime and cultural meanings that brings, but also for those who simply want to spend some 'quality time with important people in the world of video games, comics and narrative per se, we decided to organize a conference sponsored by beautiful Marco Accordi Rickards (journalist, critic and editor of Game Pro gaming) and AIOMI (Italian Association of Interactive Multimedia) on storytelling in gaming area.

We did talk to Mark to let you know what AIOMI and what it represents for the game, and you say the direct question of what will be discussed in Mantova Comics & Games 2009.

AIOMI (Italian Association of Interactive Multimedia) is one of the most important initiatives in the Italian gaming landscape.
What is proposed to specify the association?

After many years of working within the games industry, myself as a journalist and Raoul Carbone as a developer, we decided to create a cultural organization that preserves the culture of the game, too often ignored or, worse still, contempt ( The site is AIOMI www.aiomi.it). The game now is a vehicle of culture, a means of artistic expression of human thought that, in effect, is part of the collective. In fact, I will say more: the very term 'game' now, is often close to this medium, which is why we talked about the Interactive Multimedia to stress, especially in dialogue with the institutions and academia, we are now beyond the mere size 'fun'. This clarification is important: we are proud of the end game and want to continue using it, but this will be possible, exclusively, only once the word has generally absorbed the artistic and cultural meanings of which I spoke earlier.

On November 22 ended with an exceptional critical acclaim and audience, the first edition of the Games Developers Conference, sponsored and organized by its AIOMI.
The event aimed to bring together the state of the art of game development in Italy. A budget? The

budget is, without false modesty, extraordinary. More than 500 accredited and present, the packed auditorium throughout the day, the speakers simply thrilled ... Woodstock was the development of the game, if you will pardon the analogy bold rocker by which they are!
Seriously, the IVDC (www.ivdconf.it) was a success beyond all expectations. All the names that count in the Italian sector have participated and there was no lack of top-level international partnerships. Like the first edition, we would have wished nothing better.
But do not believe my words, because the facts will speak. When announcing the first details of the 2009, there will be a big surprise ... a surprise witness who talk better than any goodness of our work. You are

editor Game Pro , the Italian edition of the popular magazine Edge and one of the few magazines that treats the game as a cultural phenomenon even before simple entertainment.
What led you to believe in the potential of paper, in a world that is increasingly digitized?

I firmly believe that although the online is for obvious reasons, the future pillars of information (much of it already is now, after all), specialized magazines maintain a position of great importance. Game Pro, among other things, today is the perfect partner for a couple of good sites, if they offer the most current information, we offer special insights and absolutely exclusive and unique. Those who love the game and understand its value as a medium, can not but appreciate the efforts of a magazine like Game Pro and all its editors and contributors. In short, Game Pro is the journal of Conscious Gamer, this no doubt.

How much "weight" the name of Edge on the cover? It 's more awe or desire to get involved to make a magazine that is always up to of its name?

weighs a lot, fortunately. We would be fools and arrogant if we were not thrilled to be able to enjoy the rights of the most influential video game magazine in the world. Edge is playing and a Bible, for all of us, and the Italian edition is a dream come true. The contents of Edge are a great added value, priceless.

In Italy many strides made at the cultural level the game?
How do you think there is still work in this direction?

I'll be an optimist but I think it has really made a lot. That said, however, the road ahead is still pretty damn long, steep and inaccessible. Ah, yes: and full of bastards who, at the edge of the street, trying to kick. These distinguished gentlemen want to say one thing very clear: be careful, because the Game has grown weary of being laughed at and snubbed. We have grown and we are angry blacks, then go away by themselves before we come to kick ass.

AIOMI will be sponsoring a major initiative in Mantova Comics & Games 2009.
Could you talk about?

pleasure. Organized a panel discussion entitled: 'The Interactive Storytelling', dedicated to video games story driven, those cioè dove la storia ricopre una posizione determinante.

No Medical Insurance Cost Of Removal Of Cyst

New York prossima alla distruzione, una società segreta con piani a lungo termine, tante persone comuni che scoprono di essere in qualche modo speciali. E che, lo vogliano o less, will be forced to save the world.

Since its debut, dated September 25, 2006 in the U.S., Heroes was a success with critics and audiences.
The series was born when Tim Kring - Producer and creator of the ABC - feel the need to create an epic chorus and a cast of extraordinary characters that, paradoxically, we might be all of us.
Kring choose to carry on the big screen the peculiarities of the world of comics: Heroes is a perfect example of media penetration, the convergence between two different but complementary media, TV and comics.

The authors draw on both hands of a serial comic by superomistico both themes and style: Heroes the TV watching the balloon through a magnifying glass. The serial is developed through cycles of seemingly unrelated parallel stories, which slowly converge into a common structure and wider.

explicit homage to the superhero, but Heroes is not intended to reinterpret free: in doing so, captures the full need of all of us to live a typical special history, but close to our way of being.
A cheerleader, a Japanese employee, a nurse, a mother, an artist: the characters of Heroes are all ordinary men. Ordinary people with common problems, but with special genes of heroes: the leaders, in Heroes, all of us.

Jeph Loeb, who was Executive Producer and writer of the series will be at Mantova Comics & Games 2009 to discuss in depth the work of a writer, the diverse characteristics of TV and comics, and what it means to work for different media.
Needless to say, we expect many.
