Ad esempio il pensiero "potrei essere o diventare omosessuale " comporta un livello d’ansia insopportabile mentre the thought "I might have a tumor" means a lot less anxiety, if anything.
2) The urgency. In the obsessive thought is an urgent need to resolve the doubt, to have a certain and irrefutable answer without being able to wait a minute.
3) mechanism. The answers to your questions are never enough, often raising more questions and searching, and more answers. Doubts and searching for answers form a vicious circle that never stops almost never.
4) Shame. Often we are ashamed to tell their fears another out of reverence that would find ridiculous and baseless
5) intrusive thoughts. Intrusive thoughts that impose themselves unexpectedly are a clear sign of doc
6) Pictures intrusive. Even intrusive images that are binding unexpectedly are a clear sign of doc
7) Selective attention. In the obsessive thought their attention is drawn mainly from everything that is related to obsessive thinking the same. For example if there is an obsession with being gay their attention is drawn to all things that are connected with homosexuality.
8) Sudden appearance. Until the day before the obsessive thought now this, this is not procured any anxiety or distress.
9) The question whether the doc. If there is doubt then that doc is doc. The doc can disguise himself as a reality, but reality can not dress up as a doc. Consequently, if you suspect of being homosexual and is thought to be a doc, you are not homosexual.
10) Use of termini ricorrenti.
